Tibet Guge 01 To 17 Sutlej Canyon Kamet [17 of 19]
Kamet (7756m) is the second highest mountain in the Garhwal region of India after Nanda Devi and the 24th highest in the world. The first ascent was made in 1931 by Frank Smythe, Eric Shipton, R.L. Holdsworth and Lewa Sherpa of a British-Nepalese expedition. It was the first mountain over 25,000 ft (7,620m) to be climbed, and for five years was the highest mountain climbed in the world until the summit of Nanda Devi (7816 m) was reached by a British-American expedition in 1936.
